This is a little Holy Water Font for the home from Hummel. A religious artefact familiar to those of the Catholic, Anglican and Lutherian faiths, a small Holy Water Font - or Benitier - is often hung beside a bed, or near to the front door. This font features a pretty little Angel ringing a bell; she is dressed in a pink robe and has golden hair. Her little wings can be seen at her back. The outer lines of the font have been decorated with fine brush strokes in a mid blue colour. The design in very much in the style of the Hummel Figures, a perfect child-like figure with an innocent gaze and rosy cheeks and lips.
